1. Who we are

ListEmailCheck ("we", "us", "our") operates the email verification service available at listemailcheck.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

2. Data we collect

• Account data — your email address and hashed password when you register.
• Email addresses you verify — addresses submitted for verification. We process these to return a result and do not store them beyond the duration of the request or job.
• Usage data — verification counts, timestamps, and plan quota usage needed to operate the service.
• Payment data — billing is handled by PayPal. We receive only a subscription/plan reference; we never store card numbers or full payment details.
• Log data — standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the email verification service
• To enforce plan quotas and process billing
• To send transactional emails (password resets, OTP codes)
• To monitor service health and investigate abuse
• To measure aggregate site usage and serve advertising on parts of the site (see section 7)

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time (see section 6). Bulk verification job results are available in your dashboard for 30 days, after which they are automatically purged.

5. Third-party services

• PayPal — payment processing. Subject to PayPal's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics — aggregate site analytics provided by Google LLC. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense — advertising provided by Google LLC and its partners. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info.
• Redis / Celery — background job processing on our infrastructure. No data is shared with third parties.
• Railway / hosting — our infrastructure provider. Data is stored in their data centres under their DPA.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain processing

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

• Strictly necessary — a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF token to protect form submissions. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics — Google Analytics sets cookies to measure aggregate, anonymised usage of the site (pages visited, session duration, referral source).
• Advertising — Google AdSense and its advertising partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to deliver ads, measure ad performance, and (where you have consented) personalise the ads you see.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies before they are set, in line with the ePrivacy Directive and applicable local law. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using your browser's Do Not Track / privacy settings.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
